On slow connections, this page will take FOREVER to load ...
And, FWIW, none of these pictures do me much justice, do they?

The lovebirds, in front of my "G"
and the dragonflies John made
for me in honor of my visit
to his wondeful house for our
second (chaperoned) date.
More lovebird pictures here.
  My sweetie -- John.

Me, holding my stuffed puppet
dog, Wrinkles, and wearing my
Alien Ale t-shirt. Who's head
is rounder anyway -- mine or
that alien's?
The front door to Casa Panorama.
Lots more house pictures here.

Cinny, in our Davis days, going
at it on her scratching post.
Lots more Cinny pictures here.

Me, having the first of two
EKG tests to diagnose the cause
of the stroke I had the day
 before Xmas Eve, 1997. Answer:
 low dose birth control pills.
The Crack House, as my old house
was affectionately known. It was
a challenge for me to learn how
to create an "English country
garden" of shade-loving
drought-tolerant flowering
perennials!

Me at Schwetzingen Castle, outside
of Heidelberg. One of these days,
I'll add more pics from my recent
trips to Botswana, Belize, Belgium,
Quebec, Alaska, Cancun, Heidelberg,
France and Belgium. In between all
those trips, I suffered a near
amputation in a very serious auto
accident. The pictures about that are
in the Rehab Photo Gallery.
Why do I *love* to mountain bike?
Because I get to ride awesome trails
like this one high above Lake Tahoe!
UNR really IS a lovely campus.
This was the view from my former office.

Me doing, what else but ...
riding trains.

Me wearing my "period costume"
on the day of the dedication of
my new library.

Me feeding kangaroos at the Bonarong Wildlife Park, just outside
of Hobart, Tasmania. They don't call 'em "boxing kangaroos" for
nothin' -- this (full-grown) mama and baby proved that!
I discovered that I *love*
wallabees. They are much nicer
and gentler than kangaroos.
And I HATE Tasmanian devils!
A German couple's Mercedes-made
Unimog camper, very much out of place
in li'l ol' Cradle Mountain National
Park, central Tasmania.
Me, having the time of my life, at the National Bowling Stadium downtown.
